Das Erlernen der Kampftechnik "O-Goshi" mit Hilfe eines Messplatztrainings

The investigation relied on a `before and after` testing procedure and for the purposes of the experiment we looked at the martial arts technique `O-Goshi` and two groups of Learners. Group 1 did only mental training exercise, while group 2 did both mental and physical. For the mental training exercises and in order to gauge and control the level of the cognitive component in mental representation, we used `Judo-Mental`, a computer-aided tool with video that requires users to align and match up images. A reduction in the amount of time taken to order and match up images of sequences from the O-Goshi move was taken as indicating an increase in skill. As regards the cognitive component of representation in moves, when we look at the results of the investigation we can state that, after the exercise involving putting images in order as quickly and accurately as possible, the time taken varies significantly between the tests taken before and afterwards, bearing in mind the different levels of difficulty. This applies for both groups. We can take these differences as indicating skill gain, as length of time taken is reduced and the error rate also decreases within the difficulty levels, both for the combination Tori/Uke and Uke/Tori and also when Tori and Uke are separate. No significant differences can be discerned in either length of time taken or error rate when we compare both groups together. This means both groups finished on the same level. When we look at the test done afterwards and the results for time taken, we find more noticeable differences in the statistics for both groups. The second group needs more time to order the images. There are no differences in time taken to order the images correctly.
