Eating while on the move can be a challenging experience. With planning and preparation, the winning eating plan can be achieved and sporting performance enhanced. Remember to: • Plan meals and snacks around the training and competition programme. • Research your destination: food and water hygiene, availability of foods and drinks and food preparation facilities. • Choose the catering style: self catering, restaurants or a mixture of both. • Organise which useful foods to take from home for snacks. • Take extra food and fluid on flights to prevent dehydration and maintain good eating practices. • Take extra snacks and fluids to training and competition venues.
