Die Gemeinschaft der Sportingenieure wächst weltweit stetig an. Alle zwei Jahre lädt die International Sports Engineering Association (ISEA) alle interessierten Personen und Institutionen ein, Entwicklungen und neues Wissen auszutauschen, zukünftige Forschungsprojekte zu entwerfen und Kontakte zu knüpfen. Die ISEA 2006 fand im Juli in der Olympiahalle in München statt unter Federführung der SportKreativWerkstatt. Die ISEA 2006 versammelte 350 Teilnehmern, Besucher aus 24 Nationen, präsentierte 181 Vorträge und bot Raum für 21 Industrieaussteller. The 6th Conference in July -2006 was held at Munich's Olympic Site of 1972, Germany. Organised by Eckehard Fozzy Moritz and the SportsKreastiveWerkstatt team, the four day Conference was held in the Olympic Hall, where 181 papers were presented to an approximate 350 delegates. Keynote speeches were presented from: Wolfgang Maier, German Ski Association, "Demands from Sports for Innovation in Sports Engineering" Berthold Krabbe, adidas-Salomon AG, "Product Innovation in the Sporting Goods Industry" Dietmar Schmidtbleicher, University of Frankfurt, "Perspectives on Innovation in Sports Engineering - Stochastic Resonance and their Application in Modern Training"
