Relationships of Chinese sport for all and elite sport.

(Beziehung zwischen Massen- und Leistungssport in China)

Carrying out a development strategy in harmony with sport for all and elite sport The Chinese constitution points out: "government unfolds the sport cause and develops mass sport to enhance people's fitness". The Chinese Sport Law rules out: "The sport cause carries out a combination of awareness and reinforcement strategies on the basis of sport for all and seamlessly promotes every form of sport development". China has developed a Sport for All Program and Win Honor in Olympic Program to promote Chinese sport for all and elite sport development in harmony. Achievements during development strategy in harmony Elite sport China held nine National Games in which 111 athletes exceeded and created world achievements by the end of year 2000. The Chinese elite sport level has been boosting from the five Winter Olympic Game in the year of 1990 to 2002.The Chinese elite sport delegation broke out the zeal gold medal in historical achievements in 2002 Winter Olympic Game. The Chinese elite sport delegation has participated in the Summer Olympic Game six times, and acquired 28 gold medals,16 silver medals and 16 bronze medals in the 27th Sydney Summer Olympic Game in 2000. Sport for all The sporting population exercised 3 times or more per week for 30 minutes or more each time. Aged above 16, it represented 15.5% of the general Chinese population in 1996, a percentage which increased to 18.6% in 2000. The mass sport directors` program started in 1993 in China. Both it`s quality and it`s quantity developed quickly and has reached 1446 national level mass sport directors and nearly 200 thousand overall by 2000. The average height of a man is 196.2cm and it is 158.6cm for a woman. A man`s average weight is 66.5kg and that of a women is 56.8kg. Life expectancy was 35 years in 1949; it has increased to 71 years nowadays. The average height of a 17 year-old man living in the city in 2000 is 172.8cm; this figure was 168.6cm in 1979. A man`s average weight is 62.6kg, and was 54.8kg in 1979. The industry of Sport For All in China: Only 33.32% people practiced sports in 1996, which represents more than ¥100(RMB); whereas the total sport participation in China represented almost ¥100(RNMB) per person. This number was up to ¥140 billion (RMB) in 1998, ¥ 104 billion of which originated from the city. Families per hundred in 1997 possessed 232 sport fitness facilities; that number was 383 in 1999; almost 1.85 times higher. All in all we can acknowledge that the Chinese sport for all and elite sport development strategy in harmony has been an important national system because of the guidelines resulting from Chinese sport for all and elite sport have made much progress in the contemporary era.
