This review is dedicated to crio-therapy using in sports medicine. Criotherapy's action mechanisms and its combinations with other physical factors are analyzed in details. According the authors' opinion, the main effects of the crio-therapy state in pain-soothing, inflammatory edema decreasing, muscles spasm relaxing. The authors represented their own analytical data concerning around action mechanisms of crio-electric therapy, crio-ultrasonic therapy, crio-magnetic therapy. The short descriptions of criotherapy methods and special equipment for its using in moderately low and extremely low temperatures are shown also. The points of freezing treatment dosage, froze protection, precautionary measures are described more or less completely as well as the indications and contraindications for the method's usage in sports medicine.
