The Stone Foundation was founded in 1995 to support research at The Stone Clinic in San Francisco. The Foundation, led by Kevin R. Stone, M.D. conducts research in advanced surgical techniques for orthopaedic sports medicine. These efforts have led to improvements in cartilage replacement and regeneration, cruciate ligament repair and reconstruction, and techniques to prevent osteoarthritic degeneration.
