Online training programs in the era of pandemic Covid-19 for athletes

(Online-Trainingsprogramme für Sportler im Zeitalter der Covid-19-Pandemie)

The training program is a demand for athletes especially those who will take part in the competition to bring the name of Indonesia to compete with foreign countries. The current Covid-19 pandemic era, which requires that training programs be conducted online according to the direction of the physical distancing government. In this regard, this study aims to analyze the implementation of online training programs to get input into online training programs or strategies to improve the quality of online athletic training implementation in the next period. The study was conducted using qualitative methods, with the SWOT matrix analysis approach in formulating strategies for implementing online training programs. The object of research is athletes who are members of the National Paralympic Committee NPC), trainers and organizers. This research data collection uses open questions and limited observations in accordance with the research objectives. The results showed that the results of the SWOT analysis of the implementation of online training programs can be used as input in improving the quality of online training programs for athletes, coaches, organizers, and the success of onlinetraining programs for athletes is determined by external and internal factors that include improving the quality of the application, package training, infrastructure, human resources (athletes, trainers and organizers), and related stakeholder commitments.
