Vergleich zwischen zwei und drei Krafttrainingseinheiten pro Woche - ein metaanalytischer Zugang
Training frequency in strength training is one of the most important training parameters concerning competitive and non-competitive sports as well as Evidence Based Training. A meta-analysis was carried out to determine the effect size of training interventions in relation to maximal strength. 1850 subjects were examined with a total of96 effect sizes at I-RM. The results of the meta-analysis show that there is no significant difference between two (ES 1.28 ± 1.09) and three (ES 1.36 ± 0.93) training sessions per week (F = 0.18; df= 1; p = 0.67; n2 = 0.002). Furthermore, the effect size of the training frequency (two vs. three sessions) is not statistically influenced by the factors sex, age, fitness level, or training method. In order to determine the optimal training frequency economic considerations are necessary. As a consequence, individual and intraindividual aspects need to be taken into account when deciding for two or three training sessions per week.
