Self-regulated learning employing marker-less movement analyses in the context of university education in sports
(Selbstreguliertes Lernen durch markerlose Bewegungsanalysen im Rahmen der universitären Sportausbildung)
Video recordings have long been established in movement learning and sports. The steady development of movement analysis systems now enables the use of marker-less systems in educational settings. Marker-less systems are easier to set up compared to marker-based systems and do not interfere with the movement execution during recordings, as no markers need to be attached to the body. This opens up self-regulated learning possibilities employing movement analyses in the context of higher education in sports. Examples of such applications are presented by two projects (Visufeed & Pythagoras 360°) currently being conducted at German Sport University Cologne. Besides a practical integration into the professionalization processes of sports coaches and PE teachers, these projects simultaneously analyze appropriate modes of representation following the concept of the Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning.
