Calculation of stress distribution in the radius during snowboard related injuries
(Kalkulation der Stressverteilung im Radius bei snowboardbezogenen Verletzungen)
A main focus in the prevention of injuries in snowboarding is on the reduction of wrist injuries. But in difference to the increasing number of worn helmets the acceptance level of wrist guards shows a slightly decrease in the last years. The intention of this paper is to determine the distribution of stress in the radius when it is exposed to a sports related fall in snowboarding.
