El factor variabilitat a les constancies i configuracions perceptives. Aportacions experimentals

(Der Variabilitätsfaktor in der Wahrnehmungskonstanz und -konfiguration. Experimentelle Beiträge)

From the theoretical functional psychology model proposed by Roca (2006), the thesis aims to develop, experimentally, Variability factor within the field of perception, and also studies its effects in relation to other psychological factors or variables, such as Generalization, Practice and Contiguity. First, the thesis focuses on a literature review of different conceptual and theoretical approaches within the perceptual motor learning dimension using the concept of Variability. Then, adopting the functional psychological model as theoretical basis of the thesis, which includes the Variability as a psychological factor or variable, exposure the concepts of perceptual constancy, perceptual configuration, the temporal, modal and temporo-modal parameters and, finally, all psychological factors of the theoretical model, especially Variability, proposing the concept of oscillation when there is Variability at the perceptual constancies and erraticism when there is Variability in perceptual configurations. The second part of the thesis, the experimental framework, describes several experiments with the Variability factor in the two functional levels of constancies and configurations and in the three parameters of time, mode and time-mode. In all the researches the results of statistical analysis, show a decrease in perceptual adjustment, without taking the functional level and parameter into account, as higher the degree of variability (oscillation or erraticisme). Moreover, the results are present in the interaction of the factor mentioned above with other psychological variables. Finally, the thesis expounds some conclusions, a general discussion of the study and possible areas for further researches. At the same time, it presents the possible basic and applied interests. On the one hand, in psychology, especially in the quantitative dimension of functional perception, and on the other hand, in sport, it presents the potential sources of variability (physical, atmospheric and/or physiological) affecting athletic performance.
