The carried out analysis of the research of the problem of the style of individuality has shown, that in the historical aspect the style problems has developed first of all in the frameworks of cognitive psychology. In the authors' opinion, the style of individuality is not only the immanent characteristic of individuality: the social environment and training influence its formation. However on rather long terms of the ontogenesis development the style remains practically constant. it is practically impossible to create the situation in which a subject would get information only within the framework of the preferable ways of its perception and working up of the teaching material, but it is necessary to create conditions in order a person could have an opportunity to develop any cognitive styles, especially at the initial stage of training. However they should not be dominating and suppress his (her) style of individuality.
