The aim of this paper was to discuss the problem of the career development in young specialists on the example of the figure skating specialization at the institute of physical culture. As a result of the research it was concluded that the representatives of the different events of this kind of sport are differently appercipated at the first years of their work on the speciality. The athletes of the pair skating and sports dances on ice had been more successful in communicativity than the representatives of the individual figure skating.
