This Pre-Olympic Congress on Computer Science organized by IACSS will be held in Nanjing, China, August 4-7, 2008. For a decade and more the International Association of Computer Science in Sport has been an important and dedicated organization for Computer Science in Sports, and its regular International Symposia a premier event for the relatively new scientific discipline. IACSS2008 will provide an excellent environment for participants to meet fellow academic professionals, to enhance communication, exchange and cooperation of most recent research, education and application on relevant fields. This is the first ever International Computer Science in Sports event held outside Europe and Northern America that is organized by IACSS, and also the first IACSS pre-Olympic congress.
