Cognitive tools 2.0 in trainer education
An overview is provided of the didactic design and evaluation of a blended-learning environment of an advanced training course for the C-Trainer license in table tennis. The focus lies on new online applications (Web 2.0) that serve the didactical function of cognitive tools. These actively support the learner-centered construction of trainer-specific knowledge. The evaluation in the praxis of sports associations consists of a formative and a summative part and is mainly based on questioning of the participants and instructors (qualitative study). The results show that the blended-learning structure is highly accepted by the participants. Furthermore, the findings show that the combination of the implemented online tools in the form of a time-stamp based video player, concept mapping and Weblogs can support competency-oriented learning.
