Kinematical analysis on elite male weight lifters snatch technique

(Kinematische Analyse der Grifftechnik beim Reißen von männlichen Gewichthebern des Hochleistungsbereichs)

The purpose of this study is to use three-dimensional video analytic method regarding the weight lifting's snatch technique, find out the feature of a snatch technique of an elite male weight lifter who has the experience of winning at a national athletic competition, contribute to an athlete's improvement of athletic skill, and provide basic kinematical data in terms of utilizing an athletic method in a field and instructing a snatch technique. Regarding the subject selected in this study, 3 elite male weight lifters, who could perform a snatch technique and had the experience of winning at a national competition, were chosen. Through a video analysis, a weight lifting's snatch technique was performed in respect of a position variable at a center of a body and a barbell and an angular velocity variable of knee joint, hip joint, and shoulder joint and the following conclusion was obtained. First, a vertical height was raised to the maximum by pulling an axis in a center of a body up to a trunk. It was found out that subjects B and C could not reduce a moment arm regarding a center of a body so that they could not take a stable position. Second, it was found out that all the subjects at a center of barbell could not effectively increase a vertical change of a barbell following a change of position and that the subject B pulled a barbell up close to a vertical axis and raise it vertically. Third, it was found out that although all the subjects regarding a knee joint's angular veloctiy showed no difference, the subject B fully performed a power of reaction against a ground by making a power of a leg strong in case of a pulling technique. Fourth, it was found out that all the subjects in case of a hip joint's angular velocity could not transferred an energy of a pushing power between the first pull and the second pull to a hip joint and showed a technical phenomenon of frequently using an upper body and that the subject C increased a hip joint's angular velocity through a consecutive movement. Fifth, regarding a shoulder joint's angular velocity, all the subjects showed the highest angular velocity between the first pull and the second pull requiring an instant power. It was found out that the subject B took a stable position according to a barbell's vertical speed by way of a rapid bend and extension of a shoulder joint.
