The development and application of the organization system in track and field competition
(Entwicklung und Anwendung des Organisationssystems in Leichtathletikwettkämpfen)
Introduction:
Conventionally, the organization and management of track and field competitions are based on the subjective judgment of officials. An improvement in the manner in which track and field meets are organized and managed is necessary. For instance, many new technologies, such as automatic electric timing, laser range acquisition and the internet, have been invested and introduced, and it is essential that these technologies are used effectively. The purpose of this presentation was to explore the notion that the management of track and field meets should focus not only on people, equipment and time, but configure these elements on a new platform of information and internet. Other factors to be considered include: the competition atmosphere and commercial signage and displays, to meet the needs of the large scale track and field meets.
Methods
Study data was based on a review of literature, survey and other methods.
Results / Discussion
Competition network system: The network system is the basis of a rapid and accurate delivery of competition information. Every section will make valid and immediate responses when the competition information is delivered through the network system. The research on this system will improve the structure of the network system and make it more suitable for modern large scale competition. Display system in the competition terrain: This display system is a conducting section, responsible for the order of the competition and to encourage the athletes and liven the atmosphere of the competition. This review suggests the need for the integration of the relative factors of the display system and systematization of the display in the competitive environment. Staff organization system: There is a need to standardize the duty, assignment, procedure, regulation and requirement of each person`s work, and make every judge and volunteer clear about their role and responsibility. Competition information system: The competition information system is a key section for the valid processing of the competition information of each athlete. This review suggest the need for making a programming editing of the information based on the computer system. This change will enable information to be handled quickly and accurately and in accordance with the regulations. Equipment system in the competitive arena: Based on a summary of findings from different track and field contests, there is a need for evaluation of the function and usage of the judging systems and other modern equipment as well as guarantee of the validity of the equipment.
Conclusions
Through an analysis of the network, the display, the referee, the competition information and equipment, and an integration of all the relative factors, the systematization and regulation of the whole process of track and field will be guaranteed.
