Quatre mois de charge d`entraînement globale et par exercice chez le footballeur professionnel

(Vier Monate Trainingsbelastung ingesamt und pro Übung für den Profifußballer.)

Purposes: The aim of our study was to analyze training loads (TL) of a professional soccer team, on 17 competition weeks. Materials and methods: Weekly and daily TL of 24 professional soccer players were calculated and compared using two methods based on perceived exertion: session-CR10 method and a new method derived, applied to each exercise (exercise-CR10) classified in three categories. Results: Weekly TL calculated by the two methods were different 9 weeks on 17 (P < 0.001) but showed very linked (ICC = 0.82 [0.79; 0.84]) with the following coefficients of variation: session-CR10: CV = 12.4% and exercise- CR10: CV = 13.7%. The TL quantification of each method has differences (P < 0.01), with variations in significance as a function of the number of exercises perceived as difficult in the session. Specific exercises represent 81.5 ± 4.9% of the total TL session, those aerobic 13 ± 4.1% and power 5.4 ± 3.6%. Although the TL session-CR10 method is higher compared to the exercise-CR10, link between the two methods is excellent. Even though this link varies according to the number of exercises perceived as difficult in the session, it suggests that we can follow the TL of players in a similar way with one or the other method. The exercise-CR10 method allows coaches to analyze their sessions with exercises categories and calculate TL less influenced by high intensity exercises.
