Influence of exercise on blood lipids in Serbian female judokas
The sample of this research consisted of 9 female judokas from the Serbian national team, aged 23,11 ± 3.95 years, who won the bronze medal at the 2006 European team championship. The interval training type Billat was applied that lasted four weeks. Billat training was a main instrument in basic preparation and instrument for developing lactate tolerance and heart impact volume (Anderson, 2007). The differences between measurements were analysed by Student t-test for small dependent samples. Statistically significant differences were found in four of six studied variables. Also, general results of the study showed a significant increase in total cholesterol concentrations after second measurement (p<0.001), significant decrease of HDL-C (p<0.05), and significant increase in nonHDL and LDL-C concentrations (p<0.001).
