The scientific-methodical literature on single combats and researches of authors was confirmed, that revealing and preferred performance in competitive duels of favorite grips has the great importance for the theory and practice of sports single combats. At the analysis of training process and competitive duels the favorite grips come to light. The grips, which leaded athlete to the victory, were registered and attributed to favorite. The pattern of effective techniques it is formed of an optimum combination of 6-8 favorite grips, in perfection fulfilled and becoming by the automatic technical actions bringing a victory. Each athlete together with the coach forms that pattern and improving it in duels not only in sambo-wrestling, but also in similar kinds of sports: Judo, Greco-Roman wrestling and freestyle wrestling.
