Goalkeepers' HRV increase before handball competitions

(Zunahme der Herzschlagvariabilität bei Handballtorhütern vor Spielen)

The aim of this research is to state the condition of goalkeepers` autonomic nervous system (ANS) before a handball game and to investig ate whether some indicators that reveal ANS activities are linked with goalkeepers` activity effectiveness during competitions. The parameters of the heart rate variability (HRV) were registered, the Time-domain method and Frequency-domain method were used.
