The aim of this presentation was to describe the current profile of APA and sports for people with disability in Asia (mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan) and the development APA and sports within the different regions. The factors that influence the profile will be identified through diffrent source data. This study provided an analysis of the impact of influences of different social systems and administration polices on the participatory rates of disabled people in sport. The study also provided information related to the education of individuals with disabilities within different regions, sports participation (Paralympics and Special Olympics), and barriers of APA related to various demographic factors. The study provided information for people in the world to understand the past, current, and future of development of APA and sports participation in China. Methods: Two data sources were used for this study. The first data source was from Government documentations, such as policies and surveys. The second data source was from published articles and related materials. Results: The results of the first data source indicated that HK, Taiwan and Mainland China were closely following the international trend to integrate students with disabilities into regular school settings through a whole of school approach and inclusion. Meanwhile, the development of separate special educational settings also continues to gain momentum to cater for students` special needs at the separate settings. Moreover, rate of development is even faster than the integration mode in both Hong Kong and Mainland China. Results of the second data source indicated that in addition to government policies, positive attitudes and lack of special education training for current teachers and students at teacher preparation programs were important factors that influenced educating students with disabilities. It was also found from published studies that some teachers lacked sufficient training to provide appropriate education to meet students` special needs in regular school settings. The study argued that administrators must carefully select an appropriate approach based on their school`s situations to educate students with disabilities in regular settings.
