Pilot study of serum Inhibin B as a potential marker of testosterone doping in weight lifting men

The article presents the pilot study which aims to explore the effectors of the pituitary-testicular axis in athletes with a history of testosterone doping. Inhibin B levels were assessed in serum samples from male bodybuilding athletes with history of testosterone doping. Results show that serum inhibitin levels were at or lower than the normal range for adult men. The study concludes that decreased levels of inhibin B may be suggestive of anabolic androgenic steroid misuse.
