An integral part of the process of evaluating the quality of a technical element is the definition of a model level of implementation. In the course of the study, we developed a model for optimal launch performance in BMX-race. The model characteristics of the quality of performance of each phase of the starting action in the BMX are determined, obtained in the process of analyzing the performance of highly qualified racers. Application of the developed model allows us to reduce the training time for the technical action "Start", to increase the qualitative and quantitative indicators of the effectiveness of the launch and launch acceleration. The proposed model can be used to monitor the effectiveness of training of young riders and to make timely corrections to the training process.
