Use of music and other strategies to support elite performance
The presentation covers a range of performance enhancement strategies used by the presenter in his applied work with elite athletes over the past 33 years, with a particular focus on use of music. Both the theory underpinning music interventions and applied examples with Olympic athletes will be ad-dressed. Music has been shown to significantly enhance emotional responses, reduce perceived exertion, benefit physiological functioning, and improve athletic performance.
