Recent studies have revealed that force-velocity (F-V) relationship of multi-joint movements are approximately linear. However, the measurement characteristics of their parameters have been neglected. The purpose of the present study is to emphasize the importance of three studies that investigated reliability, validity and sensibility of the mentioned parameters. The main conclusion is that the F-V relationship parameters are reliable, valid and sensitive enough to be used for muscle mechanical capacities assessment.
