Dostovernost' modifitsirovannoi izokineticheskoi otsenki v otvedenii-privedenii pltcha

(Reliability of suggested position during concentric isokinetic evaluation of abductor & adductors muscles of the shoulder)

The purpose of this study was to examine the reliability of the modified position for the isokinetic muscle evaluation during adduction and abduction of the shoulder in frontal plane. Fifteen healthy individuals were tested in this position and the isokinetic protocol included 4 max repetitions and angular velocity 60 and 180 deg/s, two times in a week. The values of reliability coefficients for the two measurements varied from 0,80 to 0,90. The coefficient was lower (0,80) during abduction in 180 deg/s angular velocity. In contrast the coefficient was higher (0,89) during adduction in 180 deg/s angular velocity. The results showed that the proposed position is reliable for evaluation and exercise for the adductors and abductors muscle groups of the shoulder during concentric muscle contraction performance.
