Differences in VO2max and performance testing: A twin study

This case study indicates that a strong common physiological capacity exists in identical twins in general testing, even when that testing is in a sports specific mode. However, when required to undertake a race or event simulation, the specific training adaptations of the twin trained in this mode of activity provide a clear performance advantage.
