Anhand der Ergebnisse der Olympischen Spiele 2004 und der Hauptwettkämpfe im Zyklus 2001/2004 werden tendenzbestimmende Positionen für die Sportart Gerätturnen (Männer) im Hochleistungs- und Anschlusstraining erarbeitet. Neben Ableitungen für alters- und leistungsstrukturelle Veränderungen werden trainingskonzeptionelle und -methodische Entwicklungen auf internationaler und nationaler Ebene dargestellt. Based on the results of the 2004 Olympic Games and the major competitions during the cycle 2001-2004 findings on developmental trends in male elite senior and junior gymnastics are presented. Besides conclusions for age-specific and performance structural changes the author presents selected international and national developments in training concepts and methods.
