The biomechanical research on the assurance of one hand-to-hand handstands of world`s women`s pair champion

(Biomechanische Untersuchung der Sicherheit des Hand-zu-Hand-Handstands der Paar-Weltmeister der Frauen)

In acrobatics, one-to-one handstand is a difficult element, but high value in difficulty. Owing to their excellent performance, a women`s pair from Shanghai, China (Fan qian, Lu meijuan) won world champion in international tournament. By using 3-direction force, synchronous photograph and TYE-2 to analyze their elements, in A-B, the flyer, with back to the understander, sprang a turn to the latter`s hand, and formed a handstand. In this phase, the centre of gravity moved up and down and back and forth. In B-C, two hands transited to one hand-to-hand handstand. At this moment, by good coordination and controlled posture. Less change in centre of gravity happened. In C-D when two hands changed to one hand handstand, the range of the centre of gravity fluctuated less. But viewing from the curve of Z,X,Y mechanical value, the fulcrum of the understander (right foot front, left foot rear) generally had more change. As in A-B, in Z direction, the mechanical value of the understander`s right foot rose from 360N to 490N, and the value of his left foot, decreased from 410N to 315N. In B-C, the value of the understander`s right foot rose to 560N, then returned to 430N, the value of his left foot down to 210N, then to 270N. Viewing from the change of moment of force, two feet mored around the vertical axis and the moment of force moved to opposite direction could help the hip joint strengthened, hence beneficial to balance. Conclusion: The key to get an assured stability depends upon the movement f understander`s lower limb and incessant adjustment to the general centre of gravity.
