The aim of this paper was to make an attempt to explane some reasons of a sertain stagnation in a tempo of the flight exercises' new modifications' appearance. The main reason of this situation, according to the authors opinion, is that gymnasts are not able to reach the essential increase of the main start's parameters and the speed of departure, first of all. The speed of departure in flights-over and flights-up does not overcome 5 m/s, and flight time 1s till this moment. The improvement of the large swing'technique can play the important role in the further progress of the flight exercises.
