Grundlagen und Perspektiven der Force-Feedback-Forschung

The paper adresses the fundamentals of force-feedback-research and the perspectives in the field of movement science in sport. Force-feedback denotes the perception of (reaction-)forces which act on the individual dependent on the actual individual-environment constellation. This perception can be used for movement control. Force-feedback-research began in the fifties of the last century, where the first haptic-devices with force-feedback mechanisms had been constructed. The last years force-feedback had been used within an experimental paradigm in the neuro sciences with the purpose to investigate internal models. Actually the automobile industry is interested in force-feedback because of the development of the"drive-by-wire concept". The movement science in sport can profit by the use of force-feedback regarding several questions, e.g. virtual training, motor research, rehabilitation, haptic training, muscle training, sensori motor training.
