Variability of maximum oxygen consumption measurement in various metabolic systems

Examination on the errors in measurements of maximum oxygen consumption. Three successive experiments have been carried out and have shown the importance of more frequent verifications and a closer control when calibrating equipment. The studies had been carried out with - study A+B: lab 1: triathletes, cross-country skiiers, few runners, lab 2: mainly runners - study B: physical education students
