Has the rotational shot put style taken over the event?

Is the glide going the way of the horse-and-buggy and the straddle high jump? The question really needs to be asked if the shot put event is moving strongly from gliders to those who rotate? Although recent World and Olympic Games results still find gliders winning medals and championships (especially on the women`s side), will the next generation evolve to the rotational style of shot put throwing? Will we see all the girls and women follow suit?
