Turn skill analysis of a skier's motion on kinematics in alpine skiing

Several studies using 3D analysis have been conducted to date (Ikegami et al., 1987; Miura and Miura, 2000). These studies have clarified the vertical and lateral motion of the center of gravity of the skier and the ski system (CGss) as well as the motion of the various body segments. However, few studies have focused on the forward leaning motion. The purpose of this study is to clarify the skiing skill by analyzing the various body segments motion in response to the forward/backward and total (forward/backward, vertical, and lateral) motion of the CGss of the skier.
