Spatial hearing when wearing a ski cap or a ski helmet
Ski helmet use has become quite popular in recent years and there is evidence of its benefit for safety. Nevertheless some skiers report impaired hearing when wearing a ski helmet. Therefore, perception of sounds and the ability to localize sound sources were investigated in an anechoic chamber for three test conditions: Wearing a ski helmet, wearing a ski cap and bare head.
