Outcomes of confidence in sport training settings
The majority of research has shown that confidence is correlated with higher performances in a variety of sport and training settings. However, recently, a new debate has begun, which argues that increased confidence may result in complacency over time. this article will aid strength and conditioning coaches by showing how confidence is related to goal setting, effort and performance of athletes and then offer practical suggestions to positively impact confidence and these mediating variables.
