Alpine skiing and cardio-metabolic health
Alpine skiing may very well serve as a recreational physical activity which brings about improvements in glucose homeostasis, even though the dynamic component of the exercise intensity during alpine skiing is not high nor can it be sustained for longer periods of time. However, the strength training component of alpine skiing also contributes to muscular adaptations that are important for metabolic health.
