Comparison of a full body inertial measurement system and an optical camera based system in alpine skiing

The aim of this study is to clarify the advantages and disadvantages of a full body inertial measurement system for the usage in alpine skiing. An optical system is used to clarify the accuracy. In particular the knee angle, the edging angle and the velocity of the knee joint are chosen to be analysed.
