Prevention of head and neck trauma in snowboard and skiing
The study follows two objectives:
(1) Development and evaluation a computer model that is able to simulate different impacts and helmet properties thus quantifying different helmets` capacity to protect the skier/snowboarder from severe damage.
(2) Simulation of typical head to slope collisions to calculate the protection capacity of modern ski helmets.
