Electromyographic system of high sensitivity applied to the detection of myopathies in elite athletes

In the present investigation the development of an electromyograph is proposed, whose purpose is to acquire the action potentials that the muscles generate, in order to give a reliable diagnosis to the early detection of myopathies. The Electromyographic signal (EMG)is conditioned through instrumentation amplifiers, filtered and finally rectified to obtain a suitable signal in the scanning process. The process of treatment and visualization of action potentials is done using Free Software, through an application for the computer. The electromyographic signal can be sent through wireless communication, under the Bluetooth standard, which can be observed in any type of intelligent device through an application. The EMG signal allows to observe in the form of graphs the potentials generated by the different muscles, these potentials are filtered digitally with the aim of detecting the slightest variation in the action potential of a muscle, thus allowing a high sensitivity to fibrillations and positive waves, both symptoms of a muscular disease. In this way, it is intended to provide an effective and economic solution to the diagnosis and detection of muscular diseases, through a high sensitivity electromyograph.
