Literature database
Muscular performance and strength training
Easy literature retrieval – explore and apply the latest findings from around the world!
The Institute of Applied Training Science Leipzig (IAT) offers this database of scientific literature to the participants of the elite sport symposium "Zur Entwicklung der muskulären Leistung im Hochleistungstraining" 2019 and other coaches, scientists and athletes interested in this topic. The database contains 23,426 relevant items related to Muscular performance and strength training from the training scientific database SPONET.
The sources selected here are not exclusively concerned with the training of different forms of force-based movements and postures, but with muscular performance (construct) and mechanical performance (as operationalisation), i.e. generally with the unity of force and speed in diagnostics and training. In the English-speaking world, the term "power" is commonly used for this purpose.
Experts at the Department Strategy and Knowledge Management of the IAT constantly search for new publications and findings that then are included in the database. For your search you can apply the presented keywords or you can search the database on your own. You are offered a quick, easy and flexible access to the latest findings.
The publication of the contributions is subsequently planned in a conference transcript. In addition, 12 FAQs were processed, which can be consulted under the heading "further literature".
