The article discusses the problem of the formation of power abilities of the girls of the senior school age engaged in Yakut national jumps. Due to the fact that the Yakut national jumps are related to high-speed power sports, it is necessary to develop the strength abilities of athletes. A pedagogical experiment was conducted to identify the effectiveness of using the additional exercises in the training process to develop strength among the girls aged 15-16 years old, engaged in Yakut national jumps. As a result of the study, it was found that the level of physical fitness in the experimental group for athletes involved in the sports section using additional exercises for the formation of strength qualities is higher compared to students in the control group, which shows the effectiveness of the methodology for the development of speed-strength qualities of athletes based on technical training jumps; the use of general developmental and special running and jumping exercises for strength, endurance, jumping ability, speed. The purpose of the study is to study the methodology for the development of athletic power abilities. The article presents the results of a study aimed at identifying the effectiveness of the methodology for the development of power qualities of athletes based on the use of power, running and jumping exercises.
