Ocenka techniceskoj podgotovlennosti plovcov na nacal'nom etape obucenija

(Assessment of technical readiness of swimmers at the stage of initial preparation)

The process of technical training in swimming is complicated by the need to develop motor skills in the conditions of use of the different structures of competitive movements. This problem is especially evident at the initial stage of training. At the same time, it is important to develop simple yet effective methods and tools for assessing coordination abilities. The results of the analysis of preparedness in a group of novice swimmers and specialized in swimming, when performing three main methods of swimming: crawl, breaststroke and butterfly, are presented. As a criterion of such preparedness, the reaction time to the sound signal is used. Both the simple motor reaction time for elementary movements and the reaction time for complex coordinated starting movements were used. The analysis of experimental data shows that the reaction time in the process of learning decreases, but it increases with the complexity of the structure of movement. At the same time, the observed differences in the performance of the three main methods of swimming are not reliable, which requires additional research.
