Ankle joint proprioception across junior-elite and senior-elite surfers
In competitive surfing athletes are scored solely on the performance of manoeuvres during wave riding. For the athletes to remain upright, whilst performing "progressive" manoeuvres, in an inherently unstable environment, there is a considerable challenge to the bodies` postural control system. Thus, it is speculated that ankle joint proprioception will improve as competitive level increases.
