This chapter presents the development of the French elite sport system for the period 2012-2016. The Olympic Summer Games 2016 in Rio are summed up with a number of facts and figures. The main focus of the article is on the main sports-political measures and financial developments. In addition, various measures of individual sports aid, the French network of sport science and the role of the French military and customs are presented.
