PPAR gene marker for selecting endurance-runners
Introduction:
PPAR (perxisome proliferators-Activated receptor) is a nuclear receptor that has been utilized in the promotion of muscle fiber transformation, increase of mitochondrial biogenesis and regulation of fatty acid oxidation in skeletal muscle. The purpose of this study was to explore the PPAR polymorphisms and to determine the gene marker for selecting endurance-runners.
