Zusammenfassung Die Nordische Kombination zählte in den 70er- und 80er-Jahren zu den erfolgreichsten Wintersportarten in Deutschland. In den 90er-Jahren konnten die Athleten dagegen nur eine Medaille zu den Wettkampfhöhepunkten gewinnen. Zudem war die Anzahl an Nachwuchsathleten stark zurückgegangen, sodass wenig Aussicht auf Verbesserung der Gesamtsituation bestand. Deshalb hat der Deutsche Skiverband (DSV) ein Nachwuchskonzept entwickelt, welches mit den Landesskiverbänden und im D/C- und C-Kader umgesetzt werden sollte. Hauptansatzpunkte innerhalb des Konzepts waren frühzeitige Steuerung und Konzentration, Erhöhung des Trainingsumfangs und wissenschaftliche Unterstützung. Summary In the 70s and 80s the Nordic Combined was one of the most successful winter sport events in Germany whereas in the 90s the German athletes could win only one medal at the main competitions. Additionally the number of young athletes at that time had decreased so much that there was no prospect for improvement. Therefore the German Skiing Federation (DSV) has developed a concept for young athletes which should be carried out in the counties` regional skiing federations and in the D/C- and C-squad. The main points of the concept have been the early control and concentration, the increase in training volume and scientific support.
