Validity and reliability of GoJump photoelectric cells for estimating vertical jump height
Aims
This study evaluated the validity and reliability of the GoJump system, a photoelectric cell-based device, for estimating vertical jump height.
Methods
A total of 100 counter movement jumps (CMJs) were performed by 20 healthy adults, with measurements taken using both the GoJump system and a force platform.
Results
The results showed high consistency between the two devices (ICC = 0.999, P < 0.001), with the GoJump system slightly underestimating jump height compared to the force platform. The GoJump system demonstrated high validity and retest reliability, making it a practical tool for effective and economical jump training monitoring.
