Inter-trial variability of GT3X accelerometer
Objective: To analyse the inter-trial variability of the GT3X over a range of physical activity intensities.
Methods: Eight GT3X were assessed during two trials. Repeated measured Anova [trial x condition (rest, sit-stand, 4, 6, 8 and 10 km/h)], intra-class correlation coefficients (ICC) and the Bland-Altman method were performed.
Results: High ICC values were found. Differences between trials were found in sit-stand in all axes and at 4 km/h in Y, X-axis and VM.
Conclusion: GT3X presented good trial reliability, although results suggested that is not a good monitor to assess sedentary behaviour or physical activity levels in sedentary population.
